Members of the Rotary Club of Santa Monica recently joined about one hundred Rotarians from other clubs in our District on a Humanitarian trip to Belize. Besides financial support of local organizations, the hard-working Rotarians painted, installed fences and laid gravel at schools and youth centers. They planted coconut trees at Dangria Beach and hosted separate Peace and Conflict sessions with young girls and male prison inmates. Under the leadership of Belize born Santa Monica Rotarian Kera Blades Snell, our club also collected new and gently used clothing and shoes that were distributed to community members.
