February 23rd was a spectacular day! We inducted new members, had wonderful guests, drank champagne thanks to new member Greg Abrams, and heard the fascinating tale of how Monika White and her twin sister came to America!
Thank you so much for the Champagne Reception, Greg Abrams! We are so glad you are part of the club, and not just because you bought us a drink! :)
Monika White and her twin sister Gita Morris were born in 1939 into a Jewish family, then living in an internment camp in Shanghai, China! Monika told of their struggles and experiences as they were growing up, getting kidnapped, the poor conditions they suffered, how they ended up in Duluth, Minnesota, and finally in Los Angeles. It was an incredible talk!
Monika's twin Gitta attended the luncheon with her husband Gee Martin!
Jag Jaganath, LA5 Rotarian, brought his mom Jamuna to check out the Santa Monica Club!

And Ken Waltzer and Scott Gaynor were both fined because Ken just brought Scott in to work with him at his company KCS Wealth Advisory!
