We are in our final quarter of this Rotary year, and we are finishing well. Most of our projects and programs are already scheduled for the rest of the year. This is the time to take personal inventory and close all the loops. Have you fulfilled all your Rotary commitments for the year? Let’s make sure all debts are paid to the Foundation and the Club for this final quarter. Please turn your attention to the upcoming District 5280 events listed below as we close out the year strong.  Plan to attend our remaining six in-person meetings at the Hilton and our two upcoming Zoom meetings. Invite your friends and business associates to join you in these final meetings of the year. We still have time to meet all our goals including adding new members.

The presentation “The Ballona Wetlands Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” will explain the history of the wetlands, their importance to the community and the watershed, the state of the wetlands today, the programs the Friends of Ballona Wetlands operate in the Ecological Reserve, and the large-scale restoration planned by the State of California.

Career Guest Speaker Series!
Date/Time:  Tuesdays or Thursdays in April and May from noon to 1 pm (exact date can be arranged to suit the schedule of the speaker)

Location: Virtual (Zoom link will be provided)

What: Speak to foster and former foster youth who are students at SMC about your career!
Note: Other SMC students in need may also attend the session.

The Rotary Club of Santa Monica is pleased to partner with Upward Bound House to establish a “Rotary Boutique”! What: We are collecting new or gently used clothes in order to establish a free “Rotary Boutique” for the families at Upward Bound House in Santa Monica. We are seeking smart casual/casual clothes for children (toddlers through teens and young adults) as well as men and women.

When: Please drop off donations at our Rotary meeting on Friday, April 14.

Also: We are seeking volunteers on April 19 from 12:00pm-2:30pm to sort the donations as well as help families choose their clothing preferences.
