Dear Friends and Rotarians,

Welcome to “Sweeping Changes”, and our theme for the 2010 – 2011 and 90th year of the Rotary Club of Santa Monica. Please join our most excellent Board of Directors, Club Officers and the Chairs of our Committees as we continue the great tradition of our membership in its service to others. Bring your talents, energy and financial support to the wonderful programs now in place and to the creation of new projects wherever a need exists.

Although I don’t expect that “Sweeping Changes” will turn our Club on it’s ear, I do hope it will help to bring a renewed focus on creating opportunities for our membership to personally participate in “hands on” projects. I’m convinced such personal involvement will greatly enhance the Rotary experience. District Governor Doug Baker’s theme of “Bigger, Better, Bolder” fits nicely with our Club’s theme and focus. Both Rotary International and District 5280 can continue to count on our support and participation with their goals and objectives.

So get out your brooms and lets get to work and don’t forget to engage in that other great club tradition along the way: Fantastically Awesome Rotarian Fellowship (FARF).
