You are invited to take active participation in our annual International Food Festival. Please consider supplying some food items for this occasion since we feel that diversity will make the entire event more attractive. Show us that hidden chef in you, show us your culinary talents, show us those old secret family recipes. The last option you have is to purchase from some "exotic" vendor, some unusual food items, unusual wines or beers. In either case, in order for us to properly coordinate and plan this event, please contact Steve Alexis at stevealexis@yahoo.com no later than Friday, April 1 regarding what you are intending to bring! We also need auction items. Please contact Oded Wolf at wolfdiainc@aol.com
For reservations, please contact June Doy at rotaryclubofsantamonica@verizon.net
Remember - we will be dark on Friday, April 15th. IFF will be considered as our regular meeting. Please bring guests and children since we will have a program packed with fun and activities. We will again vote for the best food item and winner will receive our traditional trophy.
Thank you for your participation.

Tuesday, April 19, 2005  :  Rotaract Meeting @Santa Monica College -  Mike O’Hara (speaker)

The club meets at SMC on the 2nd floor of the business building room B207 located by the swimming pool.  The meeting days are Tuesdays 11:15am and the meeting lasts for 1 hour.  By the way, this is a great way to do a makeup!

Mike O'Hara is an accomplished athlete, entrepreneur and advisor in several areas of professional and amateur sports, particularly Volleyball.  Just read the bio!  He was on the '64 Olympic Volleyball team and is in both the beach and indoor Volleyball Hall of Fame.  He has been closely involved in the business side of every Olympics since, and is looking forward to the 2008 Olympics.  He is particularly interested in opening the door for students who wish to get into the business side of sports and can provide guidance how to start.   His stories of the early beach Volleyball championships in Manhattan Beach are delightful, and how he helped start several professional sports teams is unbelievable.
