Presidential Dinners

On July 24, 2003, the Rotary Club of Santa Monica hosted the first of four Presidential Dinners for District 5280.  Over sixty-five were in attendance.  The idea is for all the current year presidents to get to know each other in an intimate atmosphere.

The party was a huge success.  The Masonic Center of Santa Monica and the decorations were beautiful.  The food, catered by Mrs. Garcia, was outstanding.  Dee Menzies' welcome was on the money.  Phil "The Music Man" Tirone brought and transferred his motivation and energy to the group.  The President of the Wilshire Club, John Bovard Miron, gave us an inspiring invocation.  Governor John Colville imparted a few "Pearls of Wisdom."  District Director Scot Clifford (The Wilshire Club) updated us on International Service. The highlight of the program were the Presidential Minutes by each of the club presidents in attendance.
